Why RANGE
THE RANGE THESIS

Imagine a token bouncing between two prices. Buying near the bottom and selling near the top looks straightforward. Then it runs without you, and waiting feels like a mistake. Or it breaks lower, and you move the exit because you expect a bounce. The rule hasn’t changed. Your willingness to follow it has.

In the Solana trenches, there’s another layer: the range itself can disappear. Liquidity can be pulled. Activity can be coordinated. A price on a chart doesn’t tell you what you can actually exit for. Experience in stocks doesn’t remove those risks, and discipline alone doesn’t solve them.

98.6%

Liquidity is part of the setup.

Solidus Labs’ May 2025 analysis reported that 98.6% of the Pump.fun tokens in its measured cohort had fallen below $1,000 in liquidity. It considered tokens created before April 2025 with at least five trades and excluded tokens migrated to Raydium. This measures token liquidity—not the percentage of traders who lost money.

Coordinated

Activity can be manufactured.

Solidus Labs’ December 2025 PumpCell investigation describes a manipulation ring operating across Solana and BSC: coordinated hype, sniper bots and deployer-controlled liquidity. It documents a mechanism that can mislead a trader reading the chart alone; it doesn’t measure how common that mechanism is across every token.

Activity isn’t the same as an edge. A busy chart can still be a poor trade. That’s the starting point for RANGE. We’re building around a small set of explicit decisions: whether a setup is tradable, where to enter, where to take profit, and what would make us stop. Buy weakness and sell strength while the setup holds. Step aside when it doesn’t. Doing nothing is a valid decision. The aim is to make a considered plan easier to follow when the screen gets loud.

These are industry investigations into market structure, not proof that emotions cause most losses or that RANGE improves returns. RANGE is in development; its effectiveness remains to be tested.
